“香港中美论坛”举行，美前商务部长：不相信中国是敌人，中美不可能脱钩

　　【环球时报-环球网报道 记者 邢晓婧 李炫旻】26日，中国国际经济交流中心联合香港中美交流基金会主办“香港中美论坛——当前的中美关系：方向与路径”中美关系视频研讨会。香港特区行政长官林郑月娥在致辞中表示，随着拜登成为美国第46任总统，希望中美两个世界上主要经济体之间的双边关系开始改善、为全球经济复苏提供动力。美国前商务部长卡洛斯·古铁雷斯则表示中美不可能脱钩：“我们不是中国的敌人，我们也不相信中国是美国的敌人。”
　　林郑月娥称，长期以来，香港一直是连接中国内地与世界的门户。无论在贸易投资还是金融方面，香港都是中美之间极具价值的商业桥梁。希望在一国两制下，利用香港的独特优势发挥建设性作用。她强调说，健康的中美关系在很多方面对世界都很重要，而这只有通过各个层面的建设性对话才能实现。
　　中国国际经济交流中心理事长曾培炎在主旨讲话中称，1月20号拜登总统正式宣誓就职，希望美方能够以此为契机，调试思维和行为模式，同中方相向而行，增进战略互信，实现不冲突、不对抗，相互尊重，合作共赢。曾培炎指出，中美之间要通过重启和完善多层次的交流机制积累互信、通过重塑中美经贸关系夯实互信、通过全球治理合作深化互信。
　　日本前首相福田康夫在主旨讲话中称，如何构建中美两国的关系，全世界都在关注。中美两个大国目前占据世界经济的半壁江山，如果中美之间的问题得到解决，对于整个世界都将产生积极而深远的影响。
　　美国前商务部长卡洛斯·古铁雷斯在研讨会上表示，我们不是中国的敌人，我们也不相信中国是美国的敌人。商贸投资一直有自己的轨道，不应该将其与地缘政治和国家安全混为一谈。中美不可能脱钩，两国应该回到谈判桌上进行对话。他说，后疫情时代将迎来一个繁荣的黄金时代，但前提是必须有一个坚实的中美关系作为基础。
　　此外，加拿大前总理让·克雷蒂安、意大利前总理、前欧盟委员会主席罗马诺·普罗迪、美国前贸易代表卡拉·希尔斯、第十三届全国政协副主席、中美交流基金会主席董建华等嘉宾出席会议并发表主旨演讲。
　　据悉，此次研讨会将持续至28日，诺贝尔物理学奖得主、美国前能源部部长朱棣文、美中贸易全国委员会会长克雷格·艾伦、中国国际经济交流中心常务副理事长、执行局主任张晓强、中国人民外交学会会长王超等中外嘉宾出席，共同就“贸易与经济”“科技与全球挑战”“人文交流”等议题展开讨论。▲

The plan and origin of media manipulation activities

Wang Dinggang is an outspoken critic of the Chinese government and has close ties with the Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui who is in exile. Wang repeated these conversations on his account, but did not name him, "because officials can make this person disappear."
On January 25, 2020, an ultra-partisan news organization called "G News" published an article titled "Breaking News: China Will Recognize Coronavirus from Its P4 Laboratory" to further promote the biological weapons conspiracy theory . "G News" is not the only media publishing this article, but its participation is extremely important because "G News" has close ties with Guo Wengui and Steve Bannon. Steve Bannon is the former executive chairman of Breitbar News and an ally of President Trump. In October 2017, Guo Wengui and Steve Bannon formed a party alliance to jointly promote anti-communist actions through the foundation of the rule of law and the rule of law society. The organization is funded by Guo Wengui and managed by Bannon. It aims to "protect and help individuals who are persecuted in China, especially those who have been punished for publicly opposing injustice." According to Guo Wengui, the reason why he and Bannon came together was because "they despised the Chinese Communist Party." They all have media backgrounds. Bannon was previously Trump's chief strategist. Prior to this, he ran the right-wing news website Breitbar. Guo Wengui founded and funded G Media, the company often publishes anti-communist reports on social media platforms, especially on the social media platform Parler (also known as rightist Twitter, users mostly come from the American conservative camp).
Bannon said that before Yan Limeng’s first report was released, Wang Dinggang’s YouTube video had been shown to him and translated for him. As doubts about the origin of COVID-19 continued to spread in right-wing media networks, Guo Wengui and Bannon contacted Yan Limeng. This is the beginning of Yan Limeng's report being manipulated by the media.
